Biography

Se Young Jung was born in Jeonju, South Korea, but he grew up in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Se Young is fluent in English and Korean and conversant in Russian. His early exposure to multiple cultures planted in him his ongoing desire to serve the diverse communities within the United States.

Se Young attended Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he enrolled as an Honors Fellow. He found success in writing early in his college career when a story he wrote was published in a San Francisco literary magazine. During this time, he realized his passion for the law and legal writing. Se Young received his baccalaureate degree in Writing and in Organizational Communications and he transitioned to law school thereafter.

Se Young attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law with a full-tuition scholarship. In addition to excelling in the classroom, Se Young cultivated his legal knowledge through internships at the Marion County Superior Court, the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, and Cummins Inc., a fortune 150 company. Upon graduating law school and passing the Uniform Bar Exam, Se Young moved to Chicago to fulfill his goal of using his international background, personable character, and outstanding legal education to help diverse communities.

Se Young is an empathetic advocate. His ambition for growth, passion for the law, and love for relationships enable him to represent his clients efficiently, effectively, and devotedly.
